About the Artwork
Hanuman Rising – The Divine Leap with the Sacred Flag was painted in 2020, but its roots go much deeper — into nearly two decades of lived artistic experience.
Long before digital tools and design systems, my journey as an artist began with pure, hands-on craft. I spent years working with paint and physical materials — creating portrait paintings, wall writings, billboards, radium cuttings, thermocol designs, and large-format visual work that demanded patience, discipline, and instinct. Those years shaped not just my skills, but my relationship with art itself.
When I painted this piece, I wasn’t just creating another artwork — I was reconnecting with my past. Every brushstroke carried memories of who I was, what I had learned, and how deeply paint once defined my identity. This painting became a moment of return — a reminder that art never truly leaves you.
At the heart of the composition is Lord Hanuman, captured mid-leap, carrying the sacred flag (Dhwaja). This is not a flag as a design element — it is a symbol of hope.
In Indian mythology, Hanuman represents unshakable courage, selfless devotion, inner strength, and fearless action. His leap signifies faith that moves beyond fear. The flag he carries stands for dharma, protection, and direction — a reminder that even in chaos, there is a path forward.
The intense red and ember tones reflect raw energy, sacrifice, and power, while the glowing light cutting through the composition symbolizes divine guidance. Together, they convey a single message:
to live bravely, honestly, and with hope, no matter how overwhelming the moment may seem.
After being published in 2020, this artwork resonated strongly with people across Behance and Pinterest, where it was widely shared, saved, and discussed. The messages I received weren’t about technique alone — they were about emotion, belief, and strength. That response confirmed what I felt while painting it: this piece speaks from a place deeper than visuals.
Hanuman Rising is not just an artwork — it is a reminder.
A reminder of faith over fear.
A reminder of strength through devotion.
A reminder that hope, once lifted, can carry us forward.
